My professional story…

My career as a financial advisor began as a margin clerk in the back office of First Albany Corporation in 1997. Essentially, I was helping monitor the firm’s credit. From there, I moved to Washington, DC in 1998 and began my current financial business with A.G. Edwards, a predecessor firm to Wells Fargo Advisors. Now, with more than 20 years of experience under my belt, I have moved to JP2 Management.

This transition will allow me to focus more deeply on three main areas of my business:

  1. Associations/Foundations
  2. Families
  3. Millennials

JP2 Management is a financial management firm I started where I can exercise what’s most important to me; Education. Educating and working with my clients allows my clients to remain focused (or re-focused) on their goals, and not the ever-changing tide of the financial industry.

Both of my parents were educators. I was a tutor in college. I coached both high school and college soccer after my professional career was done. I enjoy educating and helping. And in my estimation, education is the cornerstone for a successful financial journey through life. Awareness of abstract concepts like risk, return, investment policy, and investment objective take time to learn. My specialty is turning these esoteric ideas to simple explanations and actions.

I appreciate the leap of faith any prospect takes working with me and my team for the first time. Like hiring any professional in specific areas, you are making a judgment call. My process is one of collaboration with an emphasis on your comfort of speed. If the timeline of your investments is equal to a road trip from Washington, DC to Los Angeles, CA, I would like you to go the speed and routes where you feel more comfortable.

I earned a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from Columbia University in New York City in 1995. I spent the next two years trying my hand at professional soccer. It was an exhilarating and fantastic experience, but culminated with my need to find a career. In college I had interned at two different financial institutions, which piqued my interest in a career in finance. Nowadays, I spend time with my two beautiful daughters Charlotte “Charlie”, and Rachel. I love new experiences, so my time is usually spent traveling, sporting events, concerts, golfing with my dad, fishing, or spending time with friends.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve you as you see fit.
